CCW - Skills Builder II

This is a 3 hour shooting course for intermediate shooters or those who have taken CCW Skills Builder I. This course involves shooting from concealment and is intended to continue improving skills related to carrying concealed. This is a shooting course designed for those who already know the basics of shooting and want to develop CCW specific techniques.

This course will be on dirt and semi-level ground outdoors at California Tactical Academy ranges.

This course will cover the following:

● Drawing from concealment (primarily from appendix but also from 3 or 4 o'clock IWB or OWB).

● Timed shooting from the draw.

● Engaging multiple targets.

● Shooting and reloading.

● Defensive movement.

● *New Item* Compromised hand draws.

● *New Item* Simulated shooting with infant/child/dog.

● *New Item* Close engagement / shooting from retention.

Required Items:

● Conceal carry handgun (no P320's) with minimum 3 magazines.

● Holster and appropriate belt. Appendix preferred. 3 or 4 o'clock IWB/OWB okay. No shoulder, cross-draw, ankle, or Serpa holsters.

● Eye and Ear protection.

● Minimum 200 rounds of ammunition.

Recommended items:

● Clothing appropriate to outdoor shooting and movement. Close toed shoes, pants, shirt capable of covering firearm/holster similar to how you plan to carry daily, hat.

● Sunscreen, water, chair, snacks.

Provided:

● Bottled water (and electrolytes), snacks, foam hearing protection, targets, and excellent training combined with a good time!
