LAPD CCW - 16 hr

This course meets all the requirements for LAPD's 16 hours of training for new CCW applicants.

Training will consist of classroom education on both days and the qualification on the second day on a range at a premium private members-only club renowned for discretion, safety, and exclusivity, the choice of Los Angeles’s most selective individuals. While this range is closed to the public, CCW training with Resounding Arms affords you a glimpse into the facility during qualification.

In the classroom we will cover all topics from safety, transportation, storage, shooting technique, a consideration of carrying methods, firearm and ammo selection, carrying in public, drawing from concealment, cultivating a defensive mindset, lawful use of a firearm, defining self defense, and a clear understanding of the penal code regarding many of these topics. Additional topics will be after incident response, liability, mental health, and basics of traveling between states. 

Most importantly is gaining an understanding of when and why to defensively use force.

On the range we will complete your required shooting qualification and afterwards issue a scoresheet to be turned in to the LAPD. Time permitting we may do additional shooting drills.

Upon completion of the course successfully you will receive a certificate of completion indicating you've satisfied the training requirements of CA P.C. Section 26165
